HEALTH AND SAFETY   Notts & Derby District SBTC have two H&S Officers at shows namely Vice chairman Anthony Calladine and Suzanne Calladine. They have both attended event risk management training with dog shows as a focus.  H&S is a regular agenda item at our committee meetings as the committee is dedicated to ensuring the safety of visitors and their staffies at the venues we use.   We currently have risk assessments available to any visiting kennel club authorised field officer and of course the visible check list is completed before any member of the public comes through the door.   The most recent development is that of fire risk assessment as the certificates are no longer required. We have approached all our venues for their fire risk assessments and we keep a copy.   If you see something that doesn't seem right to you at any of our venues, shows meetings etc please don't hesitate to contact any member of the committee who will be wearing badges clearly stating who they are.   We also have a first aid officer at each show, currently our Chairman Mick Smith.   JULY 2008
